Introduction

With the growing number of Content Management  Systems (CMS) like WordPress, it seems as if anyone can build a website. But what if you actually want to understand how the website was created? This  web design & development course is designed to help the novice who wants to gain confidence and knowledge in web design & development. This course is for people who may have dabbled in writing web pages(perhaps using some web page authoring tools), but who want to really understand the languages of the web, to give them more control over the pages they create.

You will learn basic of web development & design as you build awesome websites with HTML5, CSS & Javascripts. In addition, you will learn foundational concepts in programming (e.g., functions, for loops, conditional statements) and how to think & solve problems like a programmer.

By the end of the training, you will have applied your newfound knowledge in creating a real-world website for a fast-food chain, “Alfredo Sharwarma” The final product will be a fully functional HTML5 website complete with promotional video, booking form, and a page that visitors can use to find their nearest store.

At the end of this training, you will be able to:
1.Use HTML to construct a web page with paragraphs, divs, images, links, and lists;

2. Add styles to a web page with CSS IDs and classes; and

3. Make a web page interactive with JavaScript commands like alert, onClick, onChange, adding input features like an image canvas, button, and slider.

4. Think critically about how to solve a problem using programming;

5. Write JavaScript programs using functions, for loops, and conditional statements;

6. Gain the web development skills SMEs, marketing agencies, and tech companies are looking for — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

7. Create professional-looking and well-coded web pages.
